A mysterious 19th century cabinet arrives at restorer Samuel's workshop with twenty-four locked drawers and one strange instruction: open only one every two weeks. Inside each drawer is a clue to a forgotten life.
As Samuel follows the trail through old workshops, family records, and a history that barely remembers the man at its center, he discovers evidence of Isaac Bellamy, a gifted Black craftsman whose work helped shape a business while his own name disappeared from the record.
But the deeper Samuel digs, the less certain the story becomes. The cabinet wasn't built simply to prove that someone stole Isaac's work. It was built for someone, someday, to come looking. And Samuel may finally understand why.
