YOU WOULD LOVE IT HERE

Terry has finally found the life she always wanted. A new town where nobody knows her history. A house that feels like home. Favorite places to visit. New friends. Quiet weekends.

And then there's Craig.

For the first time in years, Terry allows herself to imagine that maybe she can have something good. She writes to her old friend Barbara about all of it. The little coffee shop she loves. The neighbor who keeps leaving vegetables on her porch. Dinner with Craig. The changing seasons in Fair Hollow. The ordinary moments that make a new place begin to feel like home.

Her letters are warm, funny and full of hope.

But Barbara knows Terry. And slowly, the letters begin to contain things that don't quite add up. Terry avoids questions about her old life. She becomes nervous when people ask where she came from. Someone from her past begins contacting her. And hidden in the back of her new home is a locked box she refuses to open. Terry says she left because she had to. That's true. But it isn't the whole truth.

As the year unfolds, Terry's carefully constructed new life begins to crack. The man she left behind reappears with his own version of what happened. Craig begins asking questions Terry doesn't know how to answer. And the secrets inside the locked box force Terry to confront something she has spent years trying not to remember.

Now Terry has to decide whether protecting the life she's built is worth continuing to hide the truth from the people she loves. Because a fresh start isn't necessarily a chance to become someone new. Sometimes it's a chance to finally stop pretending to be someone you're not.
